I Need to Remember to Be Happy

Remember, it’s the beauty in the world you’re trying to recreate
You can’t do that when you’re in a negative state
If beauty outside you’re looking to display
Beauty inside you must teach yourself each day.

You could be inside an airbag
right now
in a car fire
You could be
decapitate
ed
You could be washed up on a sandy patch
of now and laters
You could be washed!
You could summon the niceties
of Septembers past;
surely this would be the last
one

When I think of what could be,
Fatality.

cleaning
the sheets
simply
in joy
ing the toxic
retreats

I could be in clouds right now
over the Tappan Zee;
I could be Zuider

I could be inside a
global worm-hole of lost souls
getting high;

Fatality.
Trimming the In-grown,
lost as summer songs
on a winters wind;

Shouting for the parade to be gin
Lifting spirits to pierced lips;

stop this.

Reserve
your nerve
for the deserving

Bake bread

And all of a sudden
I can see all the pieces of the crib
I can even climb out of it
