Above the Horizon

words, words
I eat them for lunch
and pass them by tea
my metabolism
is greatly affected by
misery

do I worry?
you know, its funny
that’s all I’ve ever done–
but now, 10,000 feet up,
I have the feeling
this is where I belong.

who, by worrying, adds a day?
but by worrying you surely
take them away
I’m not saying
‘think better things’
I’m saying
thinking
brings you nothing.

so hard, not to plan-
to live life blindly trusting

I sit in wonder
above the horizon
